Do you have family abroad?
What would you do if they were taken into hospital?
The other side of the world. It’s a long way away. But if a family member were to fall ill or have an accident, and you had to jump on a plane to be with them, even the Spanish costas would seem a million miles away.
Would you be able to cope with all the travel and accommodation arrangements? You can’t plan for medical emergencies, and they often occur at the most inconvenient times.
And would you really be able to afford the trip? There are plenty of cheap flights when you book your holidays – but that’s because you book well in advance. Flights at short notice can be eye-wateringly expensive. There are no cheap deals when you need to fly ‘right now’.
We can help
At Kinsure, we take the stress out of a particularly worrying time.
We offer more than just an insurance policy. Yes, we’ll pick up the costs of your travel and accommodation, including any fares to and from the hospital. But we’ll also make the bookings and take care of all the other arrangements in the first place – making sure you get to be with your relative as soon as possible. All it takes is one call to us.
Do you really need this cover?
However young your relatives are, or healthy they seem, it’s worth thinking about how you’d manage should one of them fall ill or have an accident, and have to go into hospital. It happens.
If you have relatives who’ve moved abroad, or you yourself have moved and left family behind, we want to put your mind at ease.
Who can buy a policy?
Almost everyone. No matter where you live in the world, you can buy a policy to cover your ‘close relatives’ living outside your country of residence. And if you pay a little bit more, your policy can cover a named friend or business associate, too.
There are some conditions, of course. The ‘close relative’ has to be aged 75 or under, and we can’t pay up for any pre-existing medical conditions (any condition that’s needed a medical consultation during the past two years) or any illness claim arising within the first three months after the start of the policy.
